Good Morning,

I am interested in the BreathEasy Pro-600 series for use in a laboratory to remove odor and fumes generated by a machine that is heating and pressing PVC.

Which filter options do you recommend for this application?

How many working hours do you expect these filters to last for various conditions?

Can you send me technical information on the product such as the amperage draw and the power output of the motor, as well as the flow rate of the model?

The BP600 / AF600 (as well as the other BP PRO series, BP1000 / AF1000, BP2000 / AF2000) are stand alone recirculating systems that have ducting capabilities should you want to use them as a source capture unit.

Understand that a recirculating unit, unlike a source capture unit, will work, but not immediately. The odors need to get to the unit for the unit to remove them. The larger the system (or number of multiple units), the higher the number of the air changes per hour and the quicker this happens in cleaning the air of particulates and odor.

HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY FILTERS?

For filter life each application is completely different.It depends on the materials you are working with, and how often you are creating particulate.  For instance in Laser applications the depth you are cutting / engraving, the laser wattage, the type of material you are working with are all factors. Typical applications have the pre-filter being changed approximately every 1-3 months, HEPA filter 6-12 months, chemical filter 6-12 months.  This is just a guide as some end users last much longer and some also consume the filters much quicker.

Hello L,

Attached the rough sketch of the space we want to filter. The space actually only about 1000 sq ft = with 2 rows of shelves/racks.

The room is occupied with 3D-Printers (on the shelves). The material we use to print is ABS plastic which comes in in filament form. During the printing process, the printer heats the ABS plastic filament to melt (soften) the plastic enough to carry the printing process. In the process of heating the plastic filament, there is odor emitted and that is what we want to filter.

“Worst case scenario”, all the 3D printers are firing at the same time, producing lots of odors, fumes – a Recirculating air filtration system equipped a chemical gas filter (activated carbon filtration), like our BP PRO Series, will work, but not immediately. The odors need to get to the air filtration unit for the unit to remove the odors and fumes. Therefore larger the system and / or multiple units, will result in a higher number of the air changes per hour and the quicker the air is cleaned, filtered of the odors.

“Worst case scenario” – I recommend two (2) of the BP2002 – this duo will deliver up to 11.9 air changes of air per hour (approx 400 lbs of chemical media filtration).

If the situation isn’t as bad as the “worst case scenario”, two (2) of the BP1004 can be considered as an alternative – this combination will deliver up to 6 air changes of air per hour (approx 200 lbs of chemical media filtration).

Follow up to a previous post entitled “Air Filtration Odor Removal Plastic Injection Molding“, we’ve come to a recommendation of going with the BP2002 with two (2) chemical gas filter media stages.

We would include a hose collar to hook up with , we recommend, a 10″ flex hose – hose would be $20.00 / foot. The price of the BP2002 air filtration / air scrubber system is only $4046.00 USD (with the 10” diameter hose collar on the air intake side).

The BreathEasy BP2002 comes with two dust particulate filter stages: Pre-filter and Post filter. It also is configured with the two (2) stages of chemical gas filter (refillable canister housing for economy) for chemical fumes, gases, odor removal capabilities.

The BP2000 is an upflow air filtration system

The system is equipped with a German designed motorized impeller  and a variable speed drive to allow airflows ranging between  300-1000 CFM  depending on the filter sequence. The blower section is equipped with a 1” thick acoustic liner allowing for +/- 50 DBa at 5 feet from the unit

The system casing is fabricated from 16 gauge satin coat welded steel painted with a two coat Polyurethane mat finish. Colour is computer beige.

The systems are mounted on industrial grade casters to allow for system portability.
